1. Data controller

GlassNotes is operated by an individual operator based in the Netherlands. For the purposes of the GDPR, GlassNotes acts as the data controller for personal data processed through this service. Contact: support@glassnotes.io.

2. Data we collect

We collect and store the following data when you use GlassNotes:

Account data: your email address and company name, provided at sign-up.

Wine SKU data: wine names, producers, regions, vintages, tasting notes, and any other details you enter into the platform.

Generated copy: marketing copy produced by the AI generation feature and saved to your library.

Subscription data: your current plan tier and billing status. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the GlassNotes service: to store your wine library, generate copy on your behalf, manage your subscription, and send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) via Supabase Auth.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you signed up for.

4. Third-party services

GlassNotes uses the following third-party processors to operate:

Supabase — database storage and authentication. Your account data and wine library are stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL infrastructure.

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles all billing and stores your payment method details under their own privacy policy.

Anthropic — AI copy generation. Wine SKU data you enter is sent to Anthropic's API to generate marketing copy. Data sent to Anthropic is subject to their API usage policy.

Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery.

5. Data retention

Your account data, wine library, and generated copy are retained for as long as your account is active.

If you request account deletion, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request. To request deletion, email support@glassnotes.io.

6. Your rights under GDPR

As a user based in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Rectification: you may correct inaccurate data via your account settings or by contacting us.

Erasure: you may request deletion of your account and all associated data.

Portability: you may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.

7. No data selling or advertising

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. No advertising cookies or tracking scripts are used on this platform.
